Yarralumla ACT 2600
Yarralumla is a large, exclusive inner Canberra suburb on
Lake Burley Griffin. It is located 6.5 km south of
the
CBD and was named after the Ngunnawal Aborigines' name
for the area. European settlement began in 1928 and
today Yarralumla is home to over 3 000 residents as
well as Government House, Royal Canberra Golf Course,
National Zoo, Aquarium and many diplomatic missions
including US, France, Germany, UK, China, Canada.
Many of the streets are named after Australian
governors.
