Yarra Glen is a charming Yarra Valley town
58 km n-e of Melbourne. The
area was first settled in 1830s by pastoralists and
later dairy farmers. Noted for its many wineries, the
earliest vineyards were planted in 1838 and today
remain the economy's mainstay. Markets 1st Sun each
month (Oct-June). Grape Grazing Festival (Feb), Yarra
Valley Expo (May).
