Yankalilla is an attractive Fleurieu Peninsula service town surrounded by sheep and cattle farms. It is ideally located just 74 km south of Adelaide and on the main road to Cape Jervis therefore there is a great deal of passing trade. European farmers first settled Yankalilla, thought to be an Aboriginal name, from 1840s and thereafter followed several years of substantial growth. Twilight Rodeo (Jan).
