Woodburn is a
Far North Coast farming town 703 km north of
Sydney. This
pretty Richmond River port was first inhabited by the
Bundjalung Aborigines who
called it ‘maniworkan’. Early timber cutters arrived
in 1840s and the town developed quickly. Due to its
central location on the Pacific Hwy, Woodburn acts as
an important road junction to various surrounding
towns. Broadwater and Bundjalung NPs are both nearby.
Woodburn Flower Show (Aug).
