  Wattle

Wattle
Wattle shrubs and trees belong to the Acacia genus. Australia has close to 1000 acacia species with Golden Wattle (acacia pycnantha) proclaimed the country’s national floral emblem in 1988. Golden wattle flowers are cream-yellow in colour and wattle seeds are a popular ingredient in bushfood recipes. September 1 is National Wattle Day celebrating the beginning of spring.
