Tweed Maritime Museum, Kennedy Dr: interesting historic complex of four buildings including the old Courthouse, the Old Soldiers Hall, a pioneers fishing shed and 1870s deckhouse. Open (11am-4pm) Tues/Thurs/Fri & (1pm-4pm) Sun.
Razorback Lookout, Razorback Rd: excellent district views including Mt Warning, the remnant volcano chamber.
Point Danger, Captain Cook Memorial and Lighthouse, Boundary St: overlooks Duranbah Beach (great surfing) and the coastline from Surfers Paradise to Byron Bay.
Tweed Heads Historic Site, Kirkwood Rd: a Minjungbal bora ring & museum and an estuary boardwalk overlooking Ukerabagh Island Nature Reserve.
