Tea Gardens is a delightful
Great Lakes region holiday destination 216 km
north of Sydney. It is joined
to its sister town,
Hawks Nest over the Myall River by the ‘Singing
Bridge’ which sounds like a wind harp during certain
wind conditions. Originally occupied by the Worimi
Aborigines,
early timbergetters and settlers began arriving in
1820s. The local economy is sustained by tourism,
sandmining, fishing & timber.
