The Shipwreck Coast spans 183 km on Victoria’s south west coastline. There have been over 80 shipwrecks between Port Fairy and Cape Otway most famously the Mahogany Ship (1520s) & the Loch Ard (1878). Rugged cliffs, reefs, rocky outcrops dominate the landscape with often gale force windy and stormy seas. Warrnambool is the largest centre and smaller towns are Port Fairy, , Peterborough, Princetown. The Shipwreck Coast is also home to the limestone formations of the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge & London Bridge.
