Rosebud is a picturesque Mornington Peninsula holiday resort town 97 km south of Melbourne. It is popular for swimming, fishing & boating and is situated near the island's national park. Rosebud was settled by pastoralists in 1830s and named after a ship that ran aground here in 1851. Rosebud markets 2nd Sat each month. Wittingslow Foreshore Carnival (Jan), Rosebud Family Festival (Nov).
