Red Centre - Northern Territory
The
Red Centre region can be broken down into three
sub regions: Tennant Creek
area; Uluru (Ayers Rock);
Alice
Springs. Each area has a wealth of natural and
man-made attractions that keep the interested
traveler very busy! Around Tennant Creek there is
Davenport Range NP, Attack Creek Historical Reserve,
Connells Lagoon Conservation Reserve, Devils Marbles,
The Pebbles, Tennant Creek Historical Reserve, Bill
Allen Lookout, Tuxworth Fullwood House Museum and
Mary Ann Dam Recreation Lake. Surrounding Uluru -
Ayers Rock there is Mt Connor, Giles Track, Kata
Tjuta (Olgas),
Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the Kings Canyon walks. The
Alice Springs area is home to Rocky Gully, Wallaby
Gap, Ochure Pitts, Watarrka NP, Serpentine Gorge,
Ruby Gap NP and the Old Ghan Historical Museum as
well as many other entries found under Alice
Springs.
