Peterborough is an historic Clare Valley railway town 242 km north of Adelaide. Established in 1875, the railway arrived in 1881 and several years later, the town became SA's key railway intersection where 3 different railway gauges met. Named after a local landowner, today Peterborough is a small but important rural service centre.
