Perth has a picturesque and compact CBD bordered on its southern and eastern sides by the Swan River. Main streets running east-west are Wellington, Murray, Hay & St Georges Tce whilst King, William, Barrack Sts & Victoria Ave run north-south. The centre is an eclectic blend of high-rise towers and elegant historic buildings with a number of squares and reserves surrounding it. Additionally, there are several shopping malls, arcades, theatres, galleries and museums. Government House, Old Court House, Perth Concert Hall, Perth Town Hall, St George's and St Mary's Cathedrals also located here.
