Oceanic Whitetip Sharks
Shark Oceanic Whitetip Sharks are a large grey stocky species noted for their white-tipped fins. They prefer tropical and warm temperate oceanic waters and are slow-moving yet aggressive fish. They are known to dominate feeding frenzies and have attacked more humans than all other shark species together. Their diet consists of bony fish, crustaceans, molluscs and even rubbish. Once extremely common and widespread, their population numbers have been declining for some time due to harvesting for their large fins and overfishing.
