North Perth is an inner city suburb 4 km from the CBD. Originally named 'Woodville Toorac', this old established area has been undergoing major housing renovations of the early 20th century homes dominating the area. It is home to the Beatty Park Leisure Centre (built for the Perth Commonwealth Games 1962), many restaurants & cafes as well as one of the city's favourite entertainment venues, the Rosemount Hotel.
