Natural Bridge and Springbrook NP (4 kms north of Qld border): spectacular 'Natural Arch' formed into a cavern by solidified lava. At night thousands of glow-worms can be spotted on the cavern roof. There is a great variety of birdlife, flora & fauna as well as scenic bush trails.

Cudgen Nature Reserve (20 km east): comprising Cudgen Lake (canoeing), Round Mountain, Aboriginal stone quarry and a large koala population. Cudgen Mountain offers excellent lake, ocean & hinterland views.
Historic Towns: Tumbulgum (11 km n-e), Uki (15 km s-w), Mooball (19 km s-e) a village painted in black & white cow motifs to reflect its name and featuring the the Pioneer Plantation (bananas) nearby.
Mount Warning NP (12 km s-w): 2 379 ha rainforest park dominated by Mount Warning (1 157 m) which is only half of this volcanic plug's original height due to erosion. Mt Warning Summit Track (8.8 km return trip) quite strenuous in parts, but spectactular 360 deg views from summit. There is also the Lyrebird Track (200 m) through subtropical forests with prolific fauna & birdlife.
