Mount Lofty - SA
Mount Lofty is located just 17 km s-e of Adelaide. It is the highest point (727 m) of the Mount Lofty Ranges and is protected by the Mount Lofty Conservation Park. First climbed in 1831, it was named by explorer, Matthew Flinders and commands spectacular views of the capital and Adelaide Hills. It is Adelaide’s coldest point, often experiencing light snow in winter. Mount Lofty is popular with both walkers and cyclists.
