Linton is a small Goldfields township on the Glenelg Hwy 149 km west of Melbourne. Rich gold discoveries occurred in 1850s and many of the original Chinese prospectors stayed on and established market gardens. A great deal of interesting gold mining evidence remains around Linton and nature lovers will enjoy the beautiful forests and bird sanctuary at nearby Soringdallah Creek.
