Lawson is an attractive Blue Mountains township 88 km west of Sydney. Originally called ‘Blue Mountains’ the name was changed to Lawson to avoid confusion with the mountain region and honour explorer William Lawson who first crossed the Blue Mts with fellow explorers Wentworth and Blaxland (1813). The area is known for its excellent bush walks & waterfalls.
