Heron Island is a majestic Southern Great Barrier Reef coral cay. It lies 72 km n-e of Gladstone and is surrounded by 24 sq km of reefs full of Green and Loggerhead turtles and endless fish varieties. Excellent diving and snorkeling opportunities. Access from Gladstone by catamaran or charter helicopter.
