The Blue Mountains are so named due to the blueish tinge caused by the release of eucalyptus oils. These eroded gorges of an ancient huge plateau are located 100 km west of Sydney and comprise the Blue Mountains NP. The Three Sisters and Jenolan Caves are just two of the natural attractions found here together with the spectacular sandstone cliffs, bushland gorges, mountain villages, Aboriginal cave art, walking trails & adventure activities.
