Drysdale is a delightful Bellarine Peninsula township 94 km s-w of Melbourne. Due to its proximity to Geelong (20 km), this small service centre has recently emerged as a satellite town to the larger city, yet it still retains its historic charm. European squatter settlement began in 1840s and an original homestead (1849) and the Peninsula’s oldest structure is still standing. Drysdale markets 3rd Sun each month (Sept-Apr). The area is renowned for many fine wineries.
