Bonalbo is a delightful Northern Tablelands hinterland village 761 km north of Sydney. Original inhabitants were the Bundajalung Aborigines who named the area ‘bunawblu’ for the bloodwood trees. European settlement began in 1850s with dairying, timber and pastoral industries. Bonalbo remains an important service centre for the Upper Clarence River Valley sitting on the Clarence Way adjacent to the spectacular Richmond Ranges.
