Bellingen is a scenic Coffs Coast hinterland township 520 km north of Sydney and 37 km s-w of Coffs Harbour. It sits on the Waterfall Way in the Bellinger River Valley at the base of the Dorrigo Escarpment. The Bellinger River area was settled in 1840s by cedar cutters and thereafter followed dairy farming, maize growing & boat building. Bellingen markets (3rd Sat each month) cnr Church & Park Sts.
