Bayonet Head is an outer residential suburb of
Albany 8 km n-e of the CBD. Scenically located
overlooking Oyster Harbour, the area offers great
fishing and recreational facilities. Formerly known
as Flinders Park, the suburb covers an area of 5.5 sq
km and is known for its historic Aboriginal traps.
Bayonet Head has retained large tracts of native
bushland and is surrounded by the suburbs of
Walmsely, Collingwood Heights and Emu Point.
